The Strength from Within...

I'm in the middle of a final edit on my novel, and have been going over the plot and themes to make sure it's enjoyable. One thing that I've noticed is that Gwen, the main character, has to deal with a few things that some people might become weakened by. Do you think that adversity makes us stronger, or only causes us to be weaker?

Can't wait to hear from you,

  1. I believe if you are able to recover from that adversity, you will be stronger. Unfortunately, most people aren't able to get over things 100%. If they dwell on that situation, they won't be able to get stronger. There could be a little piece they carry with them that nags at them and leads to doubt and that could destroy a person. It is very possible to get stronger by getting over difficult situations, but if you let it effect you then there is less potential for gathering that strength.

  2. I think it really depends on the person. There's strong people, and there's weak people. Strong people brush off their misfortune really easily and try to make the best of their situation, while weak people dwell on an issue for long periods of time because that's just how they deal with adversity. All people are different and all people grow from their expiriences differently. I think all people have the power to become stronger, but not everyone chooses to.

  3. I believe adversity can cause one to feel week at first, however it actually makes us stronger if we're able to overcome it. Many times people don't know how to deal with adversity. People are different, its up to the individual to decide on to overcome the adversity or live with it. I personally woulr try hard to overcome it, it wont be easy but it'll be the best thing to do.

Uhmm well I think it depends on the person and how much. If it is a weak person that can't handle alot then there probably ganna break down and take time to recover. If it is a strong person they can Carrie and heavier load and last longer. I think that the amount of each one is also important. If you want to learn from something you have to do it one step at a time. In science you have your control then you change one thing and you can tell the diffrent outcome clearly. When you chnage 6 thinks it's a big guess and usssaly fails. I would stick to a median charictor build based on personalitlt and give them 2 small problems and 1 big problem.

  5. I think it would depend on the adversary. If the adversary is weaker than we are then no i dont think we will get stronger. But if the adversary is stronger or as strong as you then ya we will get stronger but as long as our commitments dont waver and we dont start fighting with our freinds. Because we need both freinds and family to conquer our adversaries which will make us stronger for the trials ahead.

  6. I believe that it really depends on what kind of person you are. There are some people who let little thing totally weigh them down and others who just roll with the punches. I think that if you are a roll with the punches type, you are definitely a very strong person because you have experienced many things without letting it defeat you.
