Happiness is a state of mind. We do what we can to enjoy the world, but sometimes we have to pull from a place that is deep within us to get through the day.

What makes you happy? What brings you joy? I'm not talking about simple pleasure where you smile a little and move on. I mean pure, euphoric happiness.

ME? Obviously, my family. My husband can make me laugh and smile like no one else. He is hilarious and keeps me rolling on the floor constantly. No lie! My children are stinkin precious. I truly am blessed.

So, what brings you happiness?

Can't wait to hear.

~Anngela Schroeder :)

  1. My wonderfully wacky friends and family bring me much happiness, mainly 'cause them being my muses as stated befores, makes me want to draw or write something. And that little frame of mind (or out of it) makes me extremely happy. Oh, and the pets, because they do the silliest things. Our dog, Chienne, "talks" and has a variety of noises, the cats are a wonderful kind of spastic that just make you have to sit back and laugh...
    P.S First comment! Woot!

  2. Without a doubt in my mind my dog brings me happiness. I'm one of those crazed people that loves their pet more than anything else on the Earth. He's like a child to me and he's been in my life for almost 8 years. I make sure he eats all his dinner, has a fresh bowl of water, a fluffy, cozy bed, and plenty of toys, and attention of course. Watching him run around and play brings me happiness. I know he may be just a dog but he's a big part of my life. Now that he is starting to show that he is aging I'm beginning to realize he's already lived more than half his life. Knowing he is still happy and full of life makes me happy. -Laura Morris

  3. Happiness for me is also my family. More specifically my little brother Alex. He is probably my best friend and he's only 12 years old. He's a sweetheart. We always have a blast when we hang out because we are so alike. He also always knows how to make me smile if I'm having a bad mood. We have a ridiculous brother/sister relationship. I seriously am so thankful I got such a great brother.

  4. Hanging out with friends and family is definitely something that makes me happy. My family is so crazy (I think so at least) that they crack me up all the time. Just today my sister was complaining about being pregnant. In the middle of our conversation she says, "Clayton!!! I would really appreciate it soon if you don't turn over!! You are hurting my stomach!" It was so funny because she looked at me like I was the crazy person when i started laughing about how she was yelling at her stomach. Whenever i hang out with my close group of friends, it is nonstop laughter. Just last weekend we went to tahoe and couldn't stop laughing the whole drive. An example of when we couldn't stop laughing when we were driving by a lot of people parked on the side of the road. Brody suddenly rolls down his window and screams loudly as we drive by 1 man and 2 women. The man jumped about 2 Feet and pushed behind one of the girls. It was hilarious because it was so random and because the guy jumped behind one of the girls. Another reason that i am genuinely happy when my friends and i are together is because we are constantly joking. I can't remember a time when we have been together and haven't made a joke about anything. This is why i am truly happy when i am either hanging out with friends or my family.

  5. -Camille, you are a crack up. I can understand your witty Aussie humor so well, it scares me.
-Laura, I know what you're talking about. I had a dog once that was my baby. He went everywhere with me.
-Haley, I have a little brother that is 2 years younger than me, and he would keep me up laughing for hours. We have such similar senses of humor, too. I totally feel you on this one.
-Shelby, friends are wonderful. The crazy things we used to do still make me smile.

  6. For me, happiness is driving. I was told when I first got my permit that the novelty of driving would wear off in less than a month. Its been well over a year since I got my license, around a year and 8 months since I got my permit and started driving, and I still dig it. Putting in a CD you can jam to, rolling down the windows and letting the air flow, and just cruising down the street is one of the most amazing feelings ever in the history of ever, I'm pretty sure.

  7. My grandma has a ranch in Oregon. I love everything about going there. I always go with my cousin Karrisa. I love the drive up there, not having phone service, & helping with the cows. :) Its definately a getaway place to just relax and forget about all the stress at home. But I agree with Austin also. That would have been my second choice.

  8. Jacob Farrar
I think that friends and modern tecnoligy brings me happiness. At the end of the day after school and sports I can't wait to go home and play modern warfare two with a bunch of my friends from school. We hose big matches and it's alwase fun working together to win. I also think seeing my little brother brings me happiness even though he is a little monkey.

  9. The elements in my life that truly make me happy would be at the moment my family and my freinds. My family helps me get through life and my freinds are there when my family is bothering me as well as the struggles in my life. And one thing i forgot to put in would be religion sometimes when i wonder about life or i stressed i or we sometimes turn to religion to figure things out.

  10. I think I am overall a happy person, and I believe what brings happiness for me is my family and best friend being excited for just about anything. Sometimes, I feel that their mood tranfers over to me and I am all of a sudden happy. It is also because of the fact that they are the world to me, so whatever happens to them is a part of me as well.

Another thing that makes me happy is talking about my Grandpa who had passed away a little over three years ago. Being reminded of how he was and what his reaction would be to everything now makes me miss him, but overall be happy for the rest day, and sometimes even longer. :)
